Festival Mode & Design

This is not your parent's type of Opera and you won't need a black tie in order to get in.
Although this is the Festival Mode & Design so dressing up is less than optional.
This year the festival brought us Mode & Opera with The Opéra de Montréal showcasing: Caroline Bleau, Antoine Bélanger and Étienne Dupuis belting out pieces from shows such as Madame Butterfly and Carmen in between each runway segment.

Each catwalk section were styled by Yso and contributed pieces from the costume vaults with Japanese, Egyptian, and Gothic Medieval styles infused with modern fashions.
The crowd erupted into silence and it was if every tiny conversation, running to grab a strong cocktail,
even many forgetting to take photos or press the play button on the film as each voice pierced through our minds over the top of the castle on Mont Royal.
McGill College street was treated to a full collaborative free show to once again prove we are the city of festivals (and fashion).
